Born in 1962 in the Alucra district of Giresun, Sami Açıkel was a hardworking and eager-to-learn individual from an early age. Açıkel, who settled in Istanbul in 1977, stepped into the business world in the Tophane district of Karaköy. He gained experience in jobs that required craftsmanship by working in areas such as press, lathe and grinding, and learned the practical aspects of the business world. The knowledge and skills he acquired during these years formed the basis of his future entrepreneurial steps.

In 1982, he joined the army to complete his military service. After this 18-month duty, he returned to civilian life and continued his career where he left off. 1985 was a new turning point for Sami Açıkel; he established his own workplace in Tophane and began working on parts production for the electrical and automotive sectors and special bolts. During this period, increasing customer demands brought opportunities to expand his business.

Over the years, with the expansion of its business volume, Açıkel moved its workplace to Okmeydanı and Ümraniye, increased its production capacity and expanded its product range. 1997 was an important year in terms of its acquaintance with terminals and the start of production work in this field. During this period, it focused on the production of terminals and motor inlet fittings and developed its production in this field.

In 1999, he founded his own company named Açıkel Klemens in Gebze. The company expanded its business volume by focusing on electrical connection systems and terminal production. The new production facility was an important step in terms of increasing business capacity and implementing modern production processes. The workshop in Gebze increased its production capacity over time and turned into a 750 square meter facility.

The company has managed to reach high production capacity by being equipped with automation machines and today has a daily production capacity of 15,000 net pieces. Sami Açıkel continues to manage the production process with his experienced team and continues to work for the growth of the company.
